Classroom Expectations 1. Cooperation with teacher, aide, and other students. 2. Appropriate behavior as outlined in the PHS discipline plan. 3. Come to Math on time and prepared to learn. Please bring your math notebook, erasable writing utensil, covered math book, assignment book, and calculator (if you have one) every day. 4. Show ALL work on your homework paper. If your work is not present I will not be able to give you partial credit. Showing you work helps me to help you. 5. Homework is due at the beginning of class on the assigned day. There is a 25-point per day penalty for each day late. 6. Take on the responsibility of asking for help if you are having difficulty with an assignment. I can give you help in the morning or after school. Please make arrangements ahead because sometimes I have meetings I am required to attend. 7. Turn in your cumulative notebook (Geometry, Advanced Math and Pre-Algebra classes only) on the designated day at the end of each marking period. Notebooks should include the following items: Cover Table of Contents Notes - dated and in order Quizzes - dated and in order Tests - dated and in order Self-evaluations- Grade sheet which is corrected *Notebook grades are based on its organization and thoroughness 8. Do a self-assessment at least twice a marking period. 9. It is your responsibility to make-up work when you are absent. You have one day for every day you have been absent to do so. Extensions are granted by privately speaking with Miss Ricci, immediately upon your return to school. Make-up work is not done during class time. 10. If you wish to improve any grade on a test or quiz you may do corrections to make up to 50% of the points you lost back, provided the corrections are completed according to the test correction guideline.
