AP Calculus
Expectations
2005-2006
- Cooperation with teacher and other students.
- Appropriate behavior, as stated in the PHS discipline plan.
- Homework completed by 2:45 on the date it is due, as assigned. Not all homework will be gone over in class. It is expected that you will check your own homework and come for help if you have trouble. Please check with me so that a time can be arranged for help. If you are absent, it is due the day you come back. If you have an extended absence, come to me and we will work a schedule out.
- Tests and quizzes will be timed. This is because the AP exam is timed. It is expected that students know the material well.
- Extra credit tests are not assignments. It is up to you to decide how much you wish to complete. It can add up to 10 points of extra credit on to your test grade. All work must be shown to receive credit for a problem. You may work together on the problems. This test is due in the homework box before you take your test.
- In class activities are part of your grade and must be completed even if you miss class. You have one day for each day absent to make them up.
- The AP Exam will be held on Wednesday May 7th. All students are strongly encouraged to take this exam, although it is not a requirement of the course. The course will last through June, as do all other courses at Proctor Jr-Sr High School.
Quarterly Evaluations:
- Tests – 50%
- Homework – 15%
- In Class Activities – 10%
- Quizzes – 25%
Midterms and finals, if administered, will count 20% of that semester’s grade.
