This course examines all aspects of Business Management culminating in the writing of a Small Business Plan. Students will develop management skills and learn how to make business decisions that are required in order to develop the Business Plan. Students will examine different components of a business and how they interact together to make a successful business such as operations, finance, technology, human resources, etc.

Course Goals:

  • To develop proficient use of vocabulary and concepts used in the business environment.
  • To develop an understanding of how each department works and interacts with one another to create a successful business.
  • To explore professionalism, technology, and communication tools necessary for success in business.
  • To experience growth in communication and interpersonal skills necessary for success in society.

Class Requirements:

  • Come to class prepared to learn. (pens/books/paper/attendance/etc.)
  • Treat others in the class the way you expect to be treated.
  • It is the student’s responsibility to make up and missed work.
  • Student opinions and thoughts are encouraged through class participation.
  • Mature and respectful treatment of your partner and other students in this classroom is expected at all times. (Problems with partnerships should be addressed privately with me)
  • All school rules are implied and enforced.
  • Be prepared to have fun while you are learning!!!
