Philosophy Statement

          The goal in education is for all students to learn as much as they can to be productive citizens and maintain personal success in today’s world.  Business education consists of engaging students in learning focused on developing computer technology competencies, global perspectives, communication skills, personal/professional financial management, and human relations skills.  The purpose of learning business education concepts, skills, and content is to prepare students for financial independence, entry level careers, and post-secondary educational opportunities.

            Student’s best learn business education skills and content through a variety of learning styles.  Activities that support these learning styles include building on prior knowledge, reflecting on new learning, role-playing, simulations, discussions, demonstrations, cooperative learning and interaction with business and community professionals.
